I can’t wait to get to some music writing with my beautiful twin soon!
And oh, this world is not so big…

What took me so long?
So sometimes I am just baffled about things that manage to exist without my knowledge for years…What took me so long to notice them?
For example:
Indian food/Bollywood My best friend since middle school is Indian and has been telling me for years about the wonders of Bollywood cinema, and the deliciousness that is curry and masala and naan, but it took me seven years and a trip to the country...
Ugghhh I wish I had a voice good enough to belt…I want to let loose when I sing, but I just don’t have the pipes.
This girl on American Idol tonight gave me CRAZY goosepimples. She was amazing. And she was FIFTEEN. Wow. Brilliant!
Also, a side note: No guitar lesson today. :( But we rescheduled for tomorrow!
o. hallelujah.: love the ones you love. →

I just deleted all of my social networking apps from my phone and my bookmarks from my computer.
This isn’t going to be one of those “fasting from social networking because I’m better than all of you” posts. Or at least I really hope not.

My sister says I should go to school for writing.
I just don’t know if I am any good. Well, ‘good’ as in ‘good enough to go to school for it’. I’ve never had someone I could ask about my creative writing skills that had done it before. I don’t know any writers. I wish there was somebody I could show my work to who would tell me straight whether there’s enough potential in it or not.
Anyway, there...

Lynn Corum. What is this nonsense!? Haha I am laughing so hard!
Today is one of those “life is so beautiful” kind of days! I woke up, read my Bible. Felt encouraged in spite of my weaknesses and doubts.
I got a message from a friend in India. Saw her baby boy for the first time since he was born. Told her about the baby boy in my life who makes my heart smile.
My sister came home with happy tears in her eyes and shared some of her passion with...

Random thoughts from today.
I have been extremely random/scatter-brained today. In other words, I have been very “me” today?
Some thoughts…
1. I absolutely love love love hearing new music that I can’t stop singing to/playing. (Right now, Mumford & Sons and Freelance Whales)
2. I love singing so much! I don’t even care if I am not especially good at it. I love it a LOT.
3. Quoting...

Look what you did.
Love is a sticky mess
And I’ve never been big on sweets
I like my hands clean
and shoulders free of weight
I prefer to walk with my back straight
And eyes wide open
Two hands held out to the world
As I stumble forward into unknowns
No offense, darling
But you hurt my head too much
With your pretty, empty words
I am not listening anymore
My ears prick up at drumbeats
And...

We get up early just to start cranking the generator
Our limbs have been asleep, we need to get the blood back in them
We’re finding every day several ways that we can be friends…
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For...

Thank you for this heart, broken and silly as it is most of the time. I would rather feel every pain and joy than nothing at all.
“…Because I want to be a rock, but I just feel like a shell in a vast ocean…being washed ashore only to be taken back out to sea.
Pick me up and take me home, Lord. Let me be a treasure on your mantelpiece.”
I’ve got some pretty words and notes
rolling around in my head.
If only they were mine…
I turn off the light and go to sleep.
There’s something desperate in me tonight
A longing after more
A long sought-after adventure
I want to feel more deeply
to tread the recesses of my heart
and explore those of another
To grab arteries and veins
and weave them together
in an intricate and magnificent tapestry
So one day we can stand back
and look at what we made together
We can tell our grandkids about the mess...

Oh, by the way…the egg picture I posted was because my delicious healthy breakfast included a hardboiled egg and mandarin oranges! :)
